The business develops, manufactures, sells, and exports wear protection solutions such as piping systems and other wear protection components and its accessories, for concrete conveying and other hydraulic or pneumatic conveying in various user industries.

JOB SUMMARY

The Store Officer will plan, organize, and control the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory of raw materials, pipes, fittings, consumables, spares, and fabricated items for a greenfield pipe manufacturing and fabrication facility. This position also ensures material availability, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company and statutory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Setup & Systems (Greenfield Phase)

  • Establish and organize stores for raw materials, finished goods, WIP, spares, and consumables.
  • Define store layouts, bin locations, material identification, and storage norms.
  • Implement inventory control systems (ERP/manual), material coding, and documentation.
  • Develop SOPs for receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.

Material Receipt & Inspection

  • Coordinate with SCM, QA/QC, and vendors for material receipt as per PO.
  • Ensure verification of quantity, specifications, heat numbers, MTCs, and documentation.
  • Arrange inward inspection with QA/QC and ensure proper tagging and traceability.
  • Record GRNs and update inventory systems accurately.

Inventory Control & Management

  • Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor stock of:
    • Pipes, Elbows, fittings, flanges, etc
    • Welding consumables, Gases, chemicals, and fabrication consumables
    • Maintenance spares and tools
  • Conduct regular stock verification and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and report shortages, excesses, or damages.

Issue & Dispatch Control

  • Issue materials to production, fabrication, and project teams as per approved requisitions.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
  • Track material movement for fabrication, subcontracting, and returns.
  • Maintain traceability of materials used in fabrication and welding activities.

Coordination with Production & Projects

  • Liaise with production planning, fabrication, and erection teams for material forecasting.
  • Assist in material reconciliation during project completion.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records: GRNs, issue slips, stock registers, bin cards, and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, QA/QC, safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure safe storage of heavy pipes, plates, gases, and hazardous materials.
  • Maintain proper stacking, handling practices, and material identification.
  • Implement 5S and good housekeeping practices in stores

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Materials, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 4-6 years in stores/materials management.
  • Experience in pipe manufacturing, fabrication, EPC, or heavy engineering projects.
  • Greenfield project experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Full-time 6 days working in a week at the India manufacturing facility.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required.
